Living In Birmingham I was unable to get tickets to be with the Albion fans, so I drove down to Hereford and bought a seat with the home supporters. I was not alone in this as sitting 8 or 9 seats along one row in front was the family who were sitting next to me the week before at the Goldstone. I tried to take some pictures during the game but was threatened with being chucked out if I got the camera out again, apparently Hereford United do not like you taking pictures, which is a pity really, as I could have got some great ones from where I was sat. At the end of the game I wanted to get from the poor miserable sods at the home end to the party at the other. I jumped the wall, took a couple of pictures of miserable home fans held my camera aloft and walked through two lines of riot police which were across the centre line. Like a kid in a sweetshop I just kept on shooting as I was left alone on the pitch, even the stewards took the time too point out that the bloke with the bloodied face had fallen off the fence and that the Brighton fans had been very well behaved. A pity the same could not have been said for all Hereford fans & the Club. I unfortunately had run out of film at the point I could have got my best shot of the day, as a retreating riot policeman applauds the Albion Supporters. This would have been a good picture to show the Withdeen nimby's.
